I'm at work, having feasted on a champagne breakfast this morning of artisan breads, cheeses, paté, crevettes, smoked salmon and charcuterie. Sumatran coffee to finish. It was our anniversary yesterday. Gush....

I simply couldn't eat another thing today.

I have to admit I tend to only eat yorkies with beef, but i would never deride others for serving them with whatever they which or calling the act common.
Question Author
It's not common - imagine saying that you could only have roasties with lamb or peas with pork.
Pork tenderloin, with roast potatoes, roast parsnips, veg, apple sauce and Yorkshire puddings. I will eat Yorkshire puddings with any meat, I love them.
I love Yorkshire pudding n jam ... common?

Guilty!

No, just weird, Talbot. No one could ever accuse you of being normal.

Sounds nice, Marval.
A good-looking slice of gammon (which we'll share as it is huge). I'll pretend it's from a joint and do roasties, sprouts and carrots. (Mr. J2 has had to go out into the garden to dig up the latter - raining like heck!) I have a few baked beans left over from yesterday, so will add them, and make a red wine gravy to top t' lot.
Baked beans with a roast lunch - yuk, yuk, yuk!
I've only had a smoothie for breakfast, a salmon salad for lunch as we're going out to meet friends later to an Indian restaurant called The Taste of Nawab in Muswell Hill N London. It's got some great reviews on Trip Advisor.

and it's byo alcohol. One of my aussie friends asked would it be okay if he gould bring shot glasses, sambuca and a handheld torch device and a straw to inhale the fumes.

I replied I'm pretty sure the Health and Safety fire regulations there would give it a big fat no, not to mention if he gets stopped by the police and have to explain the flame thrower and straw in his bag, lol.

Bless the Aussies, they are a zany bunch.
Nearly time to come home (boo hiss) but one last trip to the Mini-Mercado for the makings of a meal of cheese, bread, assorted meats, olives and wine.

My local co-op is going to look a bit tame by comparison ...

Tell me about it, Dave. I do miss the fish counters of Mercadona :(
Decided against them diddly-do - just hate wasting food. Hope they'll keep for 'on toast' lunch tomorrow.

Jourdain2 I've just seen your "Baked beans with a roast" comment and lolled at Diddlydoos "yuk, yuk, yuk!" Lol.

There's no reason why you couldn't add them just rinse of the sauce and then they're just harricot beans with I've used in roast before as well as other pulses namely butter beans, kidney beans and chick peas.
Butter beans, broad beans, yummy.
Tesco microwave chicken madeira with mushroom rice, feel like I'm letting the side down haha! It was in the Finest Range though (and reduced!) and very nice.
I didn't like my dinner :-(
Meat 'n potato pie accompanied with Mince n' onion pie in the oven job done... Shopping day tomorrow.
Surely you should be on bacon & cabbage, ummmm - and a Guinness chaser?
Nah...don't really like bacon and it wasn't on the menu either. I've only had two glasses of Guinness since we've been here. I've been doing the driving so he could have a drink.
I am stuffed!!
