Confectionary Bars Shrinking

Has anybody else stopped buying confectionary on grounds that the bars are continually shrinking and actually give you very little product for the money. I remember when a Mars or Snickers was actually large enough to keep me going until lunch time...now these bars are barely the size of a Milky Way. I can't help but notice how the packaging of such bars is deceptively large.

No, I keep buying....but only in multipacks, when on offer. Can be a third of the normal single bar price.
I have noticed them becoming smaller, although I don't eat them nowadays.
I was going to buy a packet of crisps recently, but saw they were 99p and there's almost nothing in the bag.

Funnily enough ging, that's what prompted my post. Bought a "value" Snickers 4 pack recently only to be very disappointed once I'd got them out of the oversized packaging!

I've noticed for a long time. I always check the weight in grams on the back of the packet.
I bought a Mars bar a little while ago to tide me over till lunch time. My husband was surprised how quick I ate it. Honestly, there is nothing to them, not like they used to be when I was a little girl. I remember my father used to break off about a third for me and it took me quite a while to get through it and I felt full up. Even he couldn't always eat a whole bar in one go!

The multipacks are the worse offenders, double deckers being top of the hit list.
They have the choice of increasing the price or making them smaller for the same price. They choose the latter, as it gets fewer complaints and sells more.
Twirls are really small in multipacks. I wonder if it's an government thing where they have instructed confectionary firms to do it as an attempt to stop diabetes. Well, that hasn't worked has it?! Now we are just buying multipacks on offer and eating 4 smaller ones!
Has the centre got bigger in polos along with this trend of less for more money .
