... got a call from our Vet couple of hours ago, would we be interested in adopting a 3 year old Rottweiler Cross the present owner could no longer look after.
Crossed with what was the first question, but they didn't know.
So off we all go with Roger in the back of the car, no good if he doesn't approve.
He turned out to be about the size of a large Staffie, about 18-20 kilos and a proper Rottie head on him, nice looking Dog.
We liked him, he and Roger got along well. and he comes home tomorrow.
Happy days ;o)

Balders are you there? Have you got him then? How is he? Come on, let's have a Bruce photo please.
Bruno was the name of my last four legged Angel.

Picked him up at 1200, got him home then I've been out since then, just got back, so he's been with Mrs B who seems well pleased with him. house training seems Ok (sighs with relief). holding back on piccie for a couple of days as he's got to wear a Buster Collar until early next week, he had abdominal surgery on Wednesday 'cause he'd eaten a few good sized pebbles so we'll need to be alert when he's out. Very early days but he appears to be settling well, lets see what happens tonight.
Well done Balders, nice one.
ahhh..does he know early morning run in pink trackie is obligatory ?? lol....hope it all works out xx

Don't think he'll be running anywhere for a week or so MM, gentle walking on a lead is the order of the day until he's fully recovered, we'll get him there.
Oh bless him , we had a dog who loved gravel -- had to walk him away from driveways etc.
I could have sworn I typed Bruno! Good news then I see and I hope Roger is making his new companion feel at home. Let's hope you all have a peaceful night and can we have a report in the morning please.

He's been here for 12 hours now, he has a lovely temperament, and he and Roger are A OK. He's well under weight which is down to his previous owner having severe financial cramp, I don't know why, but I can't blame them in any way. We'll get him up to the going weight slowly and carefully. Mrs B is good at that, he's got it made, it won't be too long before he's joining the early morning runs hopefully, but he won't like a Pink Trackie!
