Citizen's Advice Bureau - American Equivalent
Is there such a thing in the U.S.? My 90 year old Aunt lives in Ohio in a Care Facility. She is British with a British Passport. She has a "friend" who is the American equivalent of a Power of Attorney. She is convinced she is being "ripped off". She never sees her Bank Statements and does not know the name of her Bank or Account Number. Her POA does not visit very frequently and although she has asked to see her Bank Statement, the POA never brings them.
My aunt is in a wheel chair and cannot walk. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who knows any USA bureau that could help her. She has her own phone. I am in the U.K.
Thank you.
