Cashmere And Lambswool Blanket Has Been Nibbled At - What's Happened?
7 Answers
What has been nibbling at my lovely cashmere and lambswool blanket? I have it in a cupboard during the Summer, using it as welcome coverlet when in the lounge on Winter days. Is this due to moths? Then, there are probably their eggs/youngsters feeling quite compfy in it! How can I eradicate them? Pop it into a washing machine (with anything)? Soak beforehand? Any practical advice would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Thank you all for your kind contributions. (** I have not been able to access TAB, as my router gave up the proverbial ghost - and had to wait a week before it was decided a new one would be sent.**) Now for my replies...
_Buen: I'll look at your suggested link after posting this. _ging: there are no big holes, but almost as if the cashmere "pile" has burrows in the affected areas. _E & B: don't think it is mice, either, as I have not found droppings/urine stains. ata: that's a good idea. As it is Winter, I think I'll hang cashmere & woollen stuff out on the washing line in this frosty weather!
