printer wont print

both lights are flighting on my printer and it wont print anything off .....if its run out of ink both lights normally just stay on without flashing........this time both the green and the red light are flashing back and forth its and Epson C44UX..help!!!

How old is the printer, have you used it quite a lot? Have you not had an error message about ink tanks full or about "parts inside your printer have reached the end of their life"? You may need to download this utility (it's useful anyway):-

Choose your printer and then download the instruction manual. It will tell you what the lights mean.

Hi thanks for your all your replies much appreciated, can anyone tell me how to reset my printer because its not allowing me to do anything .....i cant even move the carriage to check the ink cartridges.

Hi after hours of playing around trying to get this printer of mine working an error popped up saying E_DMAI14.DLL file is needed....now i'm completely lost:/

Try re-installing the printer driver.

Resetting the printer might be possible with the utility above.
