How many jobs are in jeopardy because people are put off sending Christmas Cards because of the price of stamps and the difference applicable to the size of cards?
First class used to mean just that
Have recently had post delivered sooner by second class rather than first
Correct address and post code
Have not sent cards for years now, I give the money I would have spent to charity, I think more people are using the internet to sent greetings, postal services will become rarer .
Just facing this again. I cut down on cards every year - used to send and receive lots. Would it not make a lot of sense for the P.O. to issue a 'Christmas ' stamp priced 25p, but a week's delivery time. I'd send a lot more for one.
Jackdaw, I spent 3 years Christmas holidays working the night shift at Birmingham Central Post Office in the sorting department
My knowledge of geography increased and I realised the importance of bacon butties with brown sauce
My accuracy throwing packets was much improved and there were early morning bus service to get me home
Excellent tutors!
I use our Scout post for all local town and village cards, Daisy....25p for any size......really because I enjoy making cards...so I have to send them.....
I only buy cards to put money in. Tonight I have a wedding party (they got wed in secret) and I ordered cards from Moonpig. They arrived the next day. How is that not a good service?
We might not be sending cards like we used to but we're buying much more online which still needs to be delivered.
