Oh For Jesus Sake - I have bought her 3 hoovers over the years and they were expensive - in fact I have had them. They suited me fine but not enough sucton for for her.

Are there attachments to GTech. you know for doing under the cushi0ns when crumbs and pennies and alfp-ennies appear.

I have a Dyson for 17 years and it is an excellent vacuum cleaner.
The worry i have with battery powered devices is the longevity of the battery.
After 200 recharges how does it perform ?

If Jesus has left crumbs under the cushions and the device battery is flat, you are basically stuffed.
Call me old fashioned , but I prefer a electric cable and instant and constant power source to the electric motor.
Would a battery still be good after 17 years Of constant recharging ?

They don't publicise it obviously, but the batteries only last around 2 years before needing replacement. The cost of new batteries is nearly 50% of the price of a new cleaner.

The cost of a Dyson dc59 battery is around £40 other models batteries cost around £22 to £26. Not "half the cost of a new cleaner".

I have had my dyson battery cleaner for nearly 5 years .still,the same suction as when new and I use it every day . If you look after filters ect it helps to prolong their life .I know dyson are expensive but been worth every penny . I have bought another one the dyson v6 £165 in the sale from £299 . Leave it upstairs and a back up if my old one dies .

Love our dc59 Wend, as you say, if the filters and rotary brush are cleaned and when emptied the cavity is properly cleaned it is a good machine. I can take it out and vacuum the cars, and the attachments allow us to swish it round the ceiling and light fittings with no effort. We still have the dyson ball upright in the shed but it has not been used for 3 years. I use a small clean paintbrush when I clean up the inside dust cavity and pull it to pieces every couple of months and give it the once over. The only thing we have replaced is the rotary brush and that is a 2 minute job.
