If you're simply seeking Microsoft's own program, which allows people to view Excel spreadsheets created by others (but not to create or edit them), then it's Excel Viewer which you require:

If you're seeking a compatible program to Excel then I strongly recommend OpenOffice, which forms part of the OpenOffice suite:

I agree with Chico. I don't use Excel but I use OpenOffice Word which is perfectly compatible with Microsoft's version and doesn't cost a penny.
