Ads Shown In School Assembly
9 Answers
At a local Primary school the headteacher included three John Lewis advertisements in the Christmas Assembly. I don't know the context but surely this is very wrong?

We did a lesson on adverts with ours and each child brought in sample adverts that caught their eye......then we discussed how the company had made the advert eye catching.....how to think about advertising.....did we believe what the advertiser wanted us to and so on....made a good lesson and made the kids think, I hope....x

If you have no connection with the school I would leave it to your DIL. She should check on what the context was if she isn't sure. I doubt very much whether a member of staff was trying to promote John Lewis if the audience was children. If you or DIL are still unhappy I suggest you take it up with the head or the governors and ask for an explanation.
