I have said many times that it is testament to the skill of Noel Edmunds as a presenter that he has managed to engender a simple guessing game into something that appears to be nail bitingly tense, and based entirely on the generally perceived worthiness of character of the player concerned.

I've never watched a whole episode. I think it's awful but my son's housemates at uni, who were maths students, were avid fans. They liked to calculate the best response at each deal.

This poster (weecalf) hasn't yet realised that television sets now have a choice of channels and can even be switched off. He is being forced to watch programmes that he dislikes and feels the need to come on here to tell us all of his tortured existence.
