Looks like there's going to be organic peace yoghurt up the walls! PMSL! I think Bazza does have a point here though: "...Labour under his leadership had disintegrated and lost touch with reality". Not that they ever had much connection with reality, even Saint Tony had to impersonate the Tories to get into No 10.
//I doubt you could find more than 50 Yanks that had ever heard of him//
Well that is total garbage isnt it. I think more than 50 'Yanks' tunred up to the rallies and certainly more than 50 watched some News (well perhaps not biased CNN).
And they do not have to know him. Trump used Brexit of how it is possible for the downtrodden to beat the Establishment. Brexit happened thanks to Lord Farage.
I think the wins by Trump and Corbyn and the slanging that went on (and to a degree still does) shows any politician or big business has to be careful in what they say.
Corbyn has surrounded himself with sycophants and yes men so doesn't appear to see how out of touch he is. Mind you as ha S been said many times he probably doesn't want to be PM otherwise he will have to put into practice what he preaches and t hat will devastate the country quicker than a tidal wave after an earthquake.
Mickey, you wrote //I doubt you could find more than 50 Yanks that had ever heard of him//
No mention there of percentage of population or any other weasel words. I proved to you beyond doubt that what you wrote was garbage. You can twist it how you like but you are very clearly 100% wrong in your statement.
And working in an American Bank for a great number of years alongside Americans I have quite a good grasp of American Politics actually. You are the one one with a single sided blinkered view.
You know full well what I meant. Americans grasp of British politics is zero-rated. I still maintain that hardly any at all, if any, Americans have heard of Farage. And Farage played no part whatsoever in the election of Trump, as you have implied.
No Micky you made an incorrect statement. If you dont mean it then perhaps be a bit more careful ?
And as I have pointed out, The Donald repeatedly quoted Brexit as an example of beating the Establishment therefore Lord Farage did have an indirect influence.
there seems to be a strange new variant of godwin's law at work on AB - that is, in any political thread (or "political", the boxing day thread about hunting refers), the subject changes from (whatever the OP posted) to a critique of either UKIP of Nigel Farage within x posts......
