What on earth makes you think that, should the earth have been "born", that it should have been born on January 1st?
Apart from anything else, because of the change to the Gregorian calendar, the year 1582 consisted only of 355 days, so January 1st 1583 occurred ten days earlier than it would have had the calendar remained unchanged. Couple this with the fact that there are a number of calendars in use throughout the world, all of which have a different start to the year.
Sorry weecalf, your idea is a bit daft !!!! :-)
