The cat that adopted us 18 months ago has recovered from accident, learnt how to use the cat flap etc but has developed a most unpleasant behaviour ... from time to time she lays a cable on the seat or sofa that himself uses..this is not a daily occurance and is always solid....she never does this anywhere else in the house... she has also done it on his bad area. This is never a wee....just the cable.
Any ideas why?
Any ways to stop it?
She may have to unadopt us very soon.

Oh dear ... no one else has had a cat that selectively chooses where to have a crap despite being housetrained and having full and unfettered access to the out side..... this may be time to send her on her way....what a shame.
Seems as though cat is challenging your OH as the dominant one!
These people may be able to help.

I wondered what you meant by cable!

If you have access to Animal Planet you might get ideas from the program My Cat from Hell
When cats crimp one off indoors that normally means there's something up with them.
Have you got a liiter tray available for your cat, MallyJ?

My lot all know what the cat flap is for but if the weather is unappealing, or perhaps just because they're not feeling quite well, they will occasionally make use of a liiter tray instead. Perhaps if you provide a tray for your feline friend she'll use that instead of your furniture?
