My baby 1972 beetle, princess, is poorly in the garage at the moment for the first time. Just had a friend of my dads round here slagging off beetles in general and it really wound me up!

I know the views of the beetle club having been one of them for as long as i can remember, just thought i'd check out general public opinion!

hitler gave ferdinand porche certain rules about the design of the car

1. it should carry 4 people

2 it should be able to go 100kph all day

3 it had too be able to be produced for a certain price

4 hitler wanted it with an air cooled engine, as water cooled cars of the time struggled in the mountains with over heating

mine is still going strong after 37 years on the original engine, how many of todays cars will

I had a 1965 beetle,I had it resprayed,had the inside done out and updated it from 6 volt to 12.Two months after it was finished it was written off in a crash.How gutted was I.
