Went To Citizens Advice To Waste An Hour
I went for advice about a housing problem and came out feeling like a criminal.
Anyone else got this feeling after a visit to CAB ?

you are trying to say your landlord doesnt exist ....
and so you dont have a valid tenancy
and so you can stay indefinitely
and this comes under an arcane part of the law which is called 'denial of title' and no wonder the CAB said "forget it and get out"
I think that is what I said as well ....
try it if you want

Sorry just seen it was 2010 , not last February.
But the point still applies, a new company could have taken over and after a while decided to sell up rather than continue.
There obviously have been problems as you have not had notice of who your landlord is.
You really do need to ask Shelter for their advice as I said!
