Mcafee Update ?

I have McAfee on my lap top, for the last 2 days solid it says it is 'installing an update'
How long should this take not over 2 days surely ?
I have not asked for or permitted any updates.

Sounds like it's failed. Can you reboot the laptop and retry ?

Tried that still the same. Click on the Mcafee icon and it just says' please wait while update is being installed' . Just checked again and it is still the same 3 & 1/2 days now.

HI.EDDIE51. If you are still having trouble with McAfee,uninstall it from pc,
then download the removal tool from McAfee to delete all MacAfee files.
Then download free version of Avast ,its trouble free.

Tried to uninstall but it just says 'wait until the Update is finished'
Yes it is STILL saying 'installing update'! 4 Days now!
