I am trying to find a song from the 70s or 80s. The only lyrics I have been able to identify are 'No I won't be put to shame'.
I have tried typing the lyrics into Google but drawn a blank.

Ah yes more info would have been helpful!
It is of the disco type genre, quite fast paced track, in the style of Chic or Earth, Wind and Fire. I think it was a female singing..but I cannot be sure. I stood for ages in the shop trying to Shazam it, but it could not detect it. I rather randomly heard it being played in B&M through their in store system.

So it could actually be something from fairly recent times- Niie Rodgersfor example is still making records

Tom Petty, weecalf? I don't think Tom Petty or Supertramp sound much like Chic/ EWF either. There is a psalm with the words "will never be put to shame" or "don't let me be put to shame" but I can't see it being that either- not unless there was Nile Rodgers mix
