We have been going through all the dinnerware, there's mountains of it that my mater has accumulated. A big sort out, clean-up in the dishwasher, cabinets or cleaned and then re-packed, bits and pieces to go for charity and throw out the clapped out, cracked and broken stuff.

Thought we were through it, but then a friend reminded me of the Welsh dresser in the sitting room and, lo and behold, there are two cupboards more....

One set is Royal Worcester porcelain dinner service, I guess from the 50s or 60s.....is this okay to put in the dishwasher? It's their Evesham range and I'm about to do some research work on it.

No! Wash it in the sink.
As it's 50's or 60's you should wash it by hand, DTC.
1950 , 60s will not be 'dishwasher safe' don't risk it. As said, hand wash only/
