Rant

My mother passed away on January 4th; a blessing you would not have kept a dog alive in the state she was in.... Yet despite a dnr the NHL continued to drip catheritise and administer oxygen to prolong the process when the outcome was obvious, not eating drinking and not wanting to be here after losing her husband of 65 years two months ago. Rant 2 she had a colostomy and the stoma supplies we found unused in the house were unbelievable, thousands of pounds....would anybody take them, answer no despite unopened and within dates etc, no wonder we are in an nhs crisis, ok rant over feel better now

Yes lots of waste in the NHS and there will be lots who will say certain things cannot be allowed despite good intentions, dressings in date and unopened....they will state guidelines et al. Common sense should prevail but it doesn't. I do hope things get better for you, can understand your rants....hope you find peace in every sense.
