whilst being illegal, is it so wrong for people to make a few bob on goods that would only end up in the bin? apparently drugs cannot officially be re-used after being dispensed because of proper storage concerns.

Some people who need it will buy it if their doctor will only prescribe the generic (cheaper) equivalent. They believe the generic drug is not as effective as the branded one.

that’s odd rocky. I was under the impression that pharmacies can’t refuse to accept medicines.

hc you can't buy the generic version of Enbrel. Its a biological used in immune disorders and Rheumatic conditions. If you need it you will get it free on the NHS even if you normally have to pay for prescriptions.

woofgang, the pharmacy is in our GP's surgery and yes they can refuse Methotrexate its a very powerful/dangerous drug. They provide you with an emergency accidental spillage kit if you are self injecting at home. But thanks for going to all the trouble of finding a link to try and prove me wrong......

hc some medications are not prescribed by GP's they are prescribed by Consultants and a free, along with the aftercare, to end users through the NHS
