User Name For Skype

I have not used Skype for ages but remember that last time I did, I had a user name (which I can't remember)
Also someone else set it up for me last time. I've downloaded the app and already have a Google account so do I use my email as my name? Any help gratefully received!

You'll need to supply an email address, but you can use any user name you want as long as it's not already in use. If you already have a Skype account, it would make more sense to search your emails for the original confirmation, and continue with your existing account.

Thanks for your help - unfortunately my emails don't go back that far - it's been a long time since I last used Skype! So I can set up my own user name, at any rate I might remember it this time and will write it down! Thanks again, The Chair.
