Yes, the families have every right to their opinion, but the practicality is, do you keep spending money for ever? When does one call a halt and i would assume that the majority of folks would say "enough is enough". Tough i know, but they are the facts as i see them.
Prudie (and others) are not alone in reading your words as unfeeling and dismissive - please don't use the Specsavers gag on me, they won't let me through the door.
It is understandable the authorities have reached an impasse in this investigation - however there are more tactful ways to explain at least halting it awhile till any more leads arise than the tone you have taken.
the aviation industry still needs answers as to the cause - that's how aviation safety advances. the passengers from MH370, probably deceased. if the CVR can identify a cause that can be engineered or trained out, then their loss won't have been in vain.
As said the search has only been suspended NOT abandoned. It is pointless to continue unless new information becomes available. The Australian navy has had a ship equipped with the world's most sophisticated sonar constantly scanning thousands of sq miles of the deepest ocean in the world for over 3 years. There is just no more that can be done unless there is new technology or new information.
I agree Eddie. A suspension is a postponement not a cancellation. At this moment in time tools have been downed but who knows, the search may be resurrected in time. However,it would seem a very forlorn hope that any significant progress will be made in this search.
I feel for connections of the missing but Sqad summed the situation up well.
