Thursday. Quite a thick mist out there this morning. But it'a an acceptable 10°C Ridiculous for January, but I ain't complaining.

I'm off to Brimscombe Port this morning and a checkup with the practice nurse this afternoon. That's today sorted.

Me too Boaty.....the place where I have to visit will be in this mist/fog all day, and with so many drivers not putting their lights on, I'm not prepared to take the risk.

Why do drivers do that ? There are cars coming out of my estate with no lights at all !

I have no option with my car Mikey, start the motor, lights come on.
And it's not often foggy where I live.

Same here mikey. Lunatics. Why do they think cars have lights? 'I can see where I'm going' is one thing I was told. I suggested that other drivers couldn't see him until the last moment. I don't know if that made him change his ideas or not though.

Newer cars are like that here too oz. But if the fog is thick enough the wee side lights that come on are as bad as useless.

Iozzy....if you are talking about DRLs....Daytime Running Lights, them most modern cars have them fitted from scratch.

But these only show some not-very bright lights in the front and nothing at all at the rear ! The problem I have with them is some people are not aware of this basic flaw and therefore think they are visible, when they are not.

There is no replacement for dipped headlights and/or front and rear fog lights
when the advisability is this bad.
