Next Of Kin - Changes.

The divorce has gone through now.

So I am wondering do I have to notify Passport office, that I need to change my next of kin on my passport please?

Also, do I have to notify my local GP for the change of next of kin as well please?

If you want them changed then yes.

Next-of-Kin is just a courtesy title; you can change it on your passport any time you want. It's really just a case of who you want them to contact in emergency or death.

Just out of curiosity, had a look a my PP, can't see Next of Kin anywhere.

there's an emergency contact page at the back of the passport, but it can be anyone, not necessarily next of kin.

No you don't. There is just a page at the back under 'Emergencies' where you can write the details of people to contact in an emergency. I write mine in pencil so that I can rub it out if anything changes

same with your GP, I suppose: as things stand if anything happened they'd contact your ex and she could dance on your grave. If you'd rather someone else was notified, get the surgery to change your patient notes.

Oh yeah, so there is, last two pages were stuck together where it's been in a cover for last 7 years or so.

I think the passport office will want to enter the change themselves
they are quite sniffy about you writing anything in your own passport

GP - ring them - I cant think they will be that interested
I am asked each time I go to hospital - I havent tried "The Queen of England " yet

Yes Peter Pendant. It is congratulations BIG STYLE!. I have the house and my two little girls are staying with me and do not want anything to do with their Mother.
She is paying her way and we have never been so happy. She is now renting (dead money) with her B/F a 3rd floor flat in central town. She hasn't bothered with them since the summer.

I will notify the Docs and change the info in my passport.
