Thanks to everyone who has provided excellent feedback and thoughtful commentary.

And thank you also to everyone who has been helping everyone else. Many times today I've been flitting between threads, hoping to help - but by the time I've got there, one of you has beaten me to it, the worry from the OP has dissapated, and everyone seems fine.

So, cheers! I'm off for the time being, but I'll be back in the morning to spend some time taking in all your feedback.

Speaking as someone who has enjoyed seventeen years where the only real change has been the colour scheme, I have to say it was something of a shock when I logged on today!

But I accept that things need to move on, and I have absolutely no problem with that. I will be used to the new set-up in a couple of days, as will everyone who doesn't like changes too much.

I hope people persevere, and don't leave us - it will get better with time.

Well done to the AB Team for grasping the site by the scruff and making a radical overhaul to bring it up to date.

You will never please anyone - but you already knew that!!!

Just having been edemacated I think the new site is better and faster than the old one. Obviously it will take time to get used to, everything new does. Persevere and it will be grand.

Vannon, that was always the case. You need to keep the thread open in a tab then reload (f5) to get the latest posts.

I've noticed that when the questioner posts in a thread, the formatting is justified to the left as normal but everyone else is justified to the centre.

I said yesterday I was on a Samsung 5 but it was a 4 (I have two 'phones) but I am on the 5 now. I can "pinch" the screen to see more questions but I have to do this every time I go to a new page which I am sure I shouldn't need to do.

Just noticed that All Categories appear in full at the bottom of each page so for those who have problems that might be your best bet until you are sorted.

i think it is starting to make sense, however i think that it is a bit large. does the change explain the problems i have been having with the old site?
