Cheap booze?
4 Answers
It's our daughter's Christening in August and we're working out the cheapest way to buy alcohol. There will be about 70 adults so we need to buy in bulk - beer, wine and sparkly stuff. I've been looking at tesco.com etc but is there a cheaper way (other than going across to France)? Any suggestions would be great!

Every supermarket and off-licence will have wines and beers on offer.
Just buy a mix of the half-price offers. The co-op currently has half price sparkling tempranillo - a red bubbly - at 3.49 for example.
It's easy to price check with the internet. Many supermarkets also give 5% or more discount if you buy 6 bottles.
August is ideal punch drinking time too.
Enjoy the day!

we always buy in bulk from costco for large gatherings, you can buy boxes of wine, boxes of alcopops, crates of lager, bitter etc, my dad says in general its a lot cheaper than supermarkets but may only be simlar if they have world cup beer offers on, only downside is you have to be a member think its about 25 per year. its an idea though. hope it helps and you have a great day!!
