I know money isn't everything. I know some people say it's the root of all evil & wars. I know money cannot always buy happiness. (Although Tara Palmer-Tomkinson says that anyone who says money can't buy happiness has never been to the right shops..... rich b1tch....)

but, I would llike to be rich(er). I would really like to win the lottery tomorrow. I would like not to have to worry about paying bills on time or budgeting.

Am I alone in this sentiment?

When people have loads of money, they can't be happy because as soon as you get loads of money there are others who want to get it off you so you could never be happy.
If however you gave others money to help them out you would be happy knowing you have helped someone. It is a far more stable way of being happy.... i have had many years to ponder these things and have seen many people get rich, but it has never brought happiness.....

Bemoaning my lot the other day when a letter from my sponsored child in India arrived. He addressed me as 'respected sponsor'..

He is happy and well, thanks apparently to the Goddess Whatsername, was thrilled by my gift of a packet of coloured pencils and he is looking forward to his annual vacation....

which is going a few km away to fetch cattle fodder.

Very thoughtprovoking...til at least the next lottery night!
