who are the AB editors, the ones who have admin permissions on this site? And do they post here regularly?

only irregularly, in the editor's blog and occasionally on other threads, mostly in the AB Suggestions section. Their identity is a closely guarded secret but I can exclusively reveal that the Mr Big behind them is none other than... aaagghhh... urrgghhh...

There are other sites in the same group, so it may be that AB does not have to pay its own way all the time. But basically, yes, that seems to be the only income, and most of it is spent on the Editor's Bobby Moore socks.
