The Mail did make a lot of noise over the injustice of the enquires, but so did a lot of other people.
As advised, I don't believe the winding-down of the enquiry is down to anything done directly by The Mail - it's more a case of the enquiry's utter inability to bring one successful prosecution - with the notable exception of one of the solicitors involved!
