Valetines Day

Valentines day is just a rip off.Card and flower shops lapping it up not to mention the restaurants! By the way,that's Mrs Wimps opinion too before you all start slagging me off for not being romantic.My personal opinion is,be nice to the person you love every day and not just for the one day a year. Every day should be special!!

Ahh lads you are doing it all wrong. I agreed with"she who must be obeyed" that it is indeed a fatuous and unnecessary gesture and we agreed to make only small token gestures such as a simple card. This morning I gave her the biggest card I was able to find, a big bunch of red roses ,a lovely sweet pea hanging basket that she had admired at the local garden centre, and the Shires CD because I know she likes them. Aghast she said "I thought we were not bothering......" and I sent her off to work on a guilt trip. Haha we have had a good laugh about it since.

After 28 years together we still 'do' Valentines day yes so it costs a bit more to buy flowers or go out for dinner so what. this year Mr Islay bought me a box of strawberries - I cried when he handed them over its such a thoughtful gift.
