Why do some women become very ill during pregnancy?

its just due to the hormones present in the woman's body and the changes being made. Many different cures work for people and some women are lucky and don't get ill at all. Also sickness can be any time of day or night - some poor women suffer all day. However, the majority are sick in the morning hence the name morning sickness, and if a woman is sick it's usually a sign of a healthy baby. But that's a different question!!
