Sadly mathematics meant nothing to me at school( probably the teaching)So numbers of any sort are a closed book to me,maybe that is why I have no money? LOL

Must admit, I've no idea what the second question even means, so Carl/Carol has one up on me. What a lovely teacher, though.

Simple addition. You are told that the units digit in the top line is 9 and in the answer is 6. This means the missing digit in the second line must be 7 as adding 3 or 5 cannot produce an answer ending in 6.
