I need a flashing doorbell. Not keen on a wireless one as have had three wireless that were less than useful
Any suggestions

I have one that was issued by Social Services due to hearing loss. This one is wireless and portable so it can be taken down the garden. Have a look at the Action for Hearing Loss was RNID. I don't know what sort they have.

Did you have a look at the above site, they do the ones that plug in to electric as well as wireless ones so there may be something there to suit your needs.

Take a look at the Byron Sentry BY301 (couldn't get link to work).
I know you didn't want wireless, but this has worked very well for me for over two years. It has both sound and flashing light.

The trouble is she has had a number of plug in doorbells - all have been completely useless
