How Long Will It Take For Our New Boiler To Be Fitted In.
5 Answers
Hi,
We are having a new a boiler fitted on Monday, as our old boiler would have cost £1,000 to repair. It was 17 years old and it just wouldn't have been economical for the insurance company to pay for the repair. I'm just wondering how long it will take them to fit in the new boiler? They're going to flush out the central heating system as well, so I'm reckoning on 6-7 hours ? Would that be about right ? I appreciate that they could have difficulties so it could take longer.
Many Thanks, Zuber.

A straight swap, even with a little alteration to the flue, takes about a day. Then there's the next morning for commissioning and re-filling etc.
It all depends on the details. One thing to bear in mind is that, with a gas boiler, the size of the gas supply (the copper tube inside the house) may have to be increased. Regulations have changed during the past 17 years. Without a lot more detail, I can only suggest this as a possible extra.
