Can someone please explain to me what a WAG is or what it stands for?. I thought it was Wives and Girlfriends, but then someone on telly yesterday said its not very nice to call them WAG's.Now I'm confused.

I believe it to be wives and girlfriends too. I cannot remember exactly what it was but Ulrika being Ulrika was having a go at the WAG's in the news of the world at the weekend and I cannot remember if it was these letters exactly but she was using them for something else not so pleasant about the women. There was something else about Ulrika in one of the papers yesterday going to tonights game so was poss something to do with that - just her being bitter (Nancy was mentioned too)! Did say she had been slating the WAG's.
