did they all do with their time, before spending most of it on, the so many TV shows these days?

I know some have shops, and are auctioneers, but some of them are quite amusing.
I like posh Charles with the glasses, full of life & silly.

The one that really annoys me, is the bloke on ''4 Rooms'' who wears a duvet over his shoulders, looks so stupid.

At what age does the presenter become an "antique"?
...sorry, I can't make any worthwhile/sensible comment - I don't watch any of these programmes....
Charles runs an auction house:

Jeff Salmon (who annoys you so much) owns this firm:

ginge, think David Attenborough. Enduring style, fine craftsmanship, you won't ever find one of those in a junk shop for a fiver.

Why bother making any comment then, are you bored?
Iv'e met Paul Martin from flog it. Arrogant git!
Wouldn't urinate on him if he was on fire, horrible little squirt off camera.
I know Kate Bliss from years ago - I worked for her father. She done loads with her life and was even in the Territorial Army.
did you see her in Celeb Mastermind, NoM, not the brightest spark in the studio...was she a Malvern Girls School, Cheltenham or Rodean alumnus?
Kate - Educated at Hereford Cathedral School, she then read English Literature at Brasenose College, University of Oxford .
well that didn't show on Celeb Mastermind - don't think she even made 5 points total.
DT, she was the middle of 3 daughters. If my memory serves me correctly, they all went to Cathedral School.

The thing is, I always got the impression she was very clever and, socially, much more refined than her sisters.
Don't know what to make of some of these so called experts. They do not attempt to dissuade their contestants away from buying expensive items which are,at auction, going to make a large loss. I do think Charlie Ross,Charles Hanson and Anita Manning do their best to steer contestants in the right direstion but Thomas Plant and the superbly named Jonathan Pratt do not seem to ever have much success in finding bargains.
From the days when there were PROPER antiques programmes with PROPER experts (e.g. the wonderful Arthur Negus):
I'm a Kate Bateman fan and wouldn't mind if she wanted to get together! She's married though and lives in Chicago, coming back to the UK for her family business and TV shows....four kids, I think, so good on her as to getting everything in!

I know its only a TV programme for charity, but on Antique Road Trip, the shops they go into always seem to give them everything for half price, or under?
I like Christina Trevannion, very pretty and seems natural and friendly, hopefully she's the same off-screen.
Don't get me started on Paul Martin, the same, same old worn out expressions, "The Hammers down" "Quality always sells", "What are you going to do with the money"?

Then when he is showing one around a stately home, he creeps about and speaks in a hushed tone.

And as for that blue suit he constantly wears, it always reminds me of WW2 wounded serviceman's hospital dress.
He lives near us in Wiltshire, his property has to be seen to be believed.
