Just back from watching this and have to say it's been a while since I was so massively disappointed in a film. Never really lived up to the billing, story was a let down and whilst it didn't follow an expected narrative it still left me feeling like I'd been cheated, when there was so much scope.
Pre-amble was way too long and apart from one punch in the stomach (scriptwise) the performance wasn't as expected. Probably the first Denzel Washington film I've ever felt badly let down by.
I'd welcome the the thoughts of anyone else from AB who has seen it though.....

Looking at the reviews (from the general public, rather than from critics) on Rotten Tomatoes it seems to be a 'Marmite thing'. (You either love it or loathe it):

If Casey Afleck loses the Oscar to Washington for this one it'll be a travesty IMHO.
