Anyone got a definitive cure for this recurring problem with Google Chrome?
I've tried editing the registry and installing various 'apps' but it still hangs on! I've even had it suggested that the fault is caused by Kaspersky and that I should remove it ( Kaspersky that is ) and there's no point in asking Google because they don't have an answer!
Anyone?? PLEASE??

Do you have Kaspersky plugin for Chrome? If so, I would consider removing that as a first course of action.

This is assuming that this is where the issue presents itself.

Yes Murdo I did pay for it £20. I don't want to click on the link you sent 'cos I don't know where it will take me so perhaps you could explain why you included it please?

Thank you Murdo. People have said that Avast is as good as any but I have got Kaspersky on my system now and I don't want to throw £20 away! I shall click the link you included and have a read. Oh! and by the way,nobody has sent a solution to my initial question , yet!

Murdo, I see what you mean about Kaspersky. I was advised several times by ComputerActive magazine that it is/was the best AV program they have tested and consequently are selling it for the discounted price of £19.95. and as I don't have the knowledge or experience that they have, I can only cough-up and back-off! not forgetting to doff my cap first! But as most of us obey Microsoft to some degree or other I can do no more than go up 't pub and shout at the barman.
