Ford Streetka - rip off or tribute?

The Ford Streetka ad - the 'only 5 billion years of sunshine left' one - bears an uncanny resemblance to the video for Go With The Flow by Queens of the Stone Age (with the saucy bits omitted disappointingly!) Would one describe this as a rip off or a tribute?

definite rip-off! QOTSA should sue their butts! exactly what i thought when i saw that ad!

Every considered the concept that there are only so many brilliant artists in the world? And perhaps its made by the same people? Considered that? I think its a stunning piece or art and loved QOTSA's similary. But it wasn't the band who sat and made the vid in between recording sessions - alot of lot of work went in there! Check out these guys www.psyops.tv give you a clue....under Ford - be patient. U like the Chili Peppers?

cheers for that shenmilu, they are clever guys, I do like the RHCPs vid with the lights (BTW web address is www.psypop.tv - took a bit of finding!). My original question wasn't meant to be a criticism, I was just curious about the similarities.

No worries Kags. Er.. thought I copied over the address, no matter, u got there. Yeah definitely took some finding. I just kind of thought suing their butts was a bit extreme really. I couldn't find any evidence that they did the QOTSA but they seem pretty cool. And it seems quite likely.
