I rang 999 by accident at the weekend it's on the front of smart phones now I was drunk and didn't realise I got a return call who said it was the police I thought they were joking and told them to shut up basically. Then realised when I checked my calls will they come and see me now it's been 3 days and I'm worried?

doubt it...999 ops are well used to mistaken/drunk/kids calling ...you would have heard by now I think...best store phones away when drinking !!
relax,, nothing will happen
in the great scheme of thing a drunken phone call is the very least police are bothered about
did you know that 999 is used regularly for stupid requests one of which was the caller couldn't find the tv remote !
I doubt that they could be bothered tracing your address.Just forget it happened.

I was just worried as there is a prank app going round and they can even pretend to be police so genuinely thought it was this and I was really drunk to the extent I'm not even sure what I said but I know it wasn't the best I'm losing sleep panicking
As everyone has said above ... forget about it nothing will happen.

Though I disagree with ivor ... losing the remote is a genuine

Shaz....nowt is going to happen !!! ...but as I said ..drinking and phone calls do not mix well.....
Emergency ^
Very unlikely. One of my kids phoned 999. They just phoned me back and told me to put the phone out of reach.
I remember a photographer I worked with telling me that his teenage son had dialled the nines, and they got a visit from a woman police officer.

My friend is ex-army, a sergeant, and he told me that he had given and received roastings of the highest order, but the lecture his son got made him tremble, and he was confident there would not be a repeat of the indcident.

I am really worried it's really out of character for me as I know I got a bit lairy not knowing the call was genuine how long did it take for them to visit him? Im only young myself, and live with my parents and they would be horrified if I got anyone at the door
Stop worrying, it'll be fine.
Shaz, take the advice given and forget it.
If you had murdered someone during the call, they might follow it up in a week or two. Or not.
If they visited everyone who makes a false 999 call they would not have time for anything else.
Just learn a lesson and do not do it again as they can and do take action against people who make repeated false calls. Remember while you are wasting the operator's time with a false call you are delaying response to a real emergency!
I think they ring back to make sure that the call wasn't from someone who made the call and, say, passed out before the call was completed. Since you responded to their call-back it was enough to tell them there was no emergency.
