Our new car MG ZR had to be towed away today. The starter motor packed in. Been playing up for a few days taking 3/4 times of trying to start it before it finally turns over.
So now I have nothing to drive. I can't drive OH'S car, a merc. as it is too big and I have tried but can't cope with it.
So I will have to be chauffeured around for a while. Hope it comes back soon.

It was in the garage a week or so ago for a new exhaust. The old one was a souped up thing that made it sound like a boy racers car. People could hear us coming a mile away and when they saw two old wrinklies in it they cracked up laughing at us. So to save our embarrassment it cost nearly £250!
You'll soon have the MG back, Caran. Only about an hour for a mechanic to change the starter motor.

Thanks for reassurance tonyav.
Hey enjoy being chauffeured around until you get the MG back, Caran.
I've been chauffeured al my life, it has its advantages.
all as well
So has Mrs av, I think i'm gonna change my name to Parker ;-)
I once bought my Husband a Chauffeur's cap , he took it in good heart.
I'm sure he did, Mamya.

Mrs av bought me a pirates hat ( wonder what was behind that ) ;-)

I like my independence to go where I want on my own, when I want. But I don't mind being chauffeured. I have had to make myself drive more lately as I was in danger of losing confidence. I had stopped driving long distances and just confined my driving to local. But since OH'S eye problems I have had to drive further afield when he couldn't do it.
I understand that Caran, sorry only being silly.

I am now glad I never learnt to drive as I would have had my licence removed some years ago with my lack of vision.

So in a way better I never had it to lose.
Don't worry ( or lose confidence ), Caran. You'll soon be zipping about again in your MG.

That's ok Mamya, I understand about your problem, just as well you didn't learn to drive.
