Who on earth wants to eat from the back of their hand? Is anyone else fed up with the pretentious nonsense of being served food on slate, or wood, or giant leaves, or in flower pots, jam jars, jugs, and an assortment of vessels? I recently asked a waiter who brought my food on a slab of slate to take it away and put it on a plate. He did. Just give me a plate!
