If any money is collected it should also be shared out to the other victims families, not only the deceased families but also those who may have suffered life long disabilities and can no longer work?

While one can sympathise with the family of PC Palmer, surely when he chose to become a policeman he knew the risks involved, just as those who choose a career in the armed forces or other such occupations as fire fighters etc.

Palmer's fund is now over £100k. It's not bringing him back though....He was a Charlton season ticket holder and the club have draped his seat with their colours.

I think people will immediately donate to Palmers fund as he was the first named and he died in the line of duty. The others were only named today...until now they've been faceless. One was a mother on the school run. Another was an American tourist who went over the bridge. His wife survived...the photo of her being comforted by strangers was particularly emotional.

very belated answer, aog, but yes, morally wrong. If I give my money to one cause, whatever it may be, I don't want it given to another. My money, my choice. If I want to give money to someone else as well, I can do so, but that must also be my choice.
