went to the Download festival in Dublin in the RDS. Was the festival on somewhere else as i watched the highlights on channel and it was not Dublin they showed , where else was it?

The 'main' festival is held at Castle Donnington Race Course, which is just outside Derby. It has been the home of Download since the festival evolved from the original 'Castle Donnington Monsters of Rock'. Most people, and bands, still call it 'Donnington'.
