Is Equiba legitimate?
5 Answers
I have just received some unsolicited literature regarding a product called 'Equiba'. Apparently with each 'time realease' tablet you take you lose six pounds, whilst eating normally and doing notrhing else other than drinking a litre and a half of water. If this is true, why are there still obese people in the world, why is it not recomended by doctors, and why does the so-called 'Equiba Institute' only have a P.O. Box address? However I can't pretend I'm not tempted. Has anyone else ever heard of it and is it a scam?

If things were that simple the headlines would be full of it. Normally these things are bulking agents like methylcellulose, which make you feel fuller. They dont work very well, and do nothing to change your diet, so when you stop taking them you put it back on, if you lost any to start with

I'm a natural medicine professional who has some knowledge of weight loss supplements so I was skeptical yet curious when I got the Equiba mailing. With the money-back guarantee I figured I had nothing to lose by ordering. A little over 2 weeks later, I got the pills, which came with no literature or instructions other than what was on the bottle. The dose on the bottle was one per day. And it was no "new molecule," but chitosan and kidney bean extract, with some vanadium and vitamin C. Now, all of these are generally safe unless you're allergic to seafood, but I have another product with pretty much the same ingredients that cost US $20.00 or so for 90 caps and are meant to be taken if you are going to eat a high fat/carb meal. But I took the Equiba anyway, one every 5 days like the ad said, and nothing happened.
Yesterday I got another mailing which looked like the first, except now it said take one pill a day. I've already asked for my money back, but now I think I may write them and ask for the "new" Equiba for free.
I have had this product sent to me, the product are 4 Evervescent tablets that you take. 1 to be taken in the morning dissolved in 1ltr of water. Then 5 days later take another one and so on. havnt tried them yet, but did not have a po box number and was sent these within in 4 days of ordering and will also have a money back guarantee, I know this is a legitamate guarantee as i have had orders from them before
