i posted the same suggestion a while ago and nearly every reply was moaning about how AB was only just bearable without the smileys.

tee hee, but seriously I think it would just look, well cheap and silly, everyone would just go mad and use dozens of them. Some people would put up posts that only had a smiley face or something.
