Today when I tried to watch bbc 1 and 2. A notice comes up saying " channel is scrambled or not available. This has been happening all day. If I switch to channel 3. There's a programme, if I go back to bbc1 the programme is there, then after a few minutes the same notice comes back. I can get all channels I have on freebies except bbc 1 and 2. Many thanks if anyone can help

Have you tried re-tuning your telly?
Where do you live?

I haven't tried retuning TV. I live in Torquay. I have just switched off at the mains to see if that helps

Switched back on. Bbcs are back. I don't understand why
You haven't told us whether you watch Freeview, Freesat, Sky or Virgin; it could be relevant.
Question Author
It's free view, and I have a TV and aerial less than two years old
You have a weak signal and your freeview tv or box isn't sensitive enough to use the signal it gets. I get that a bit. It's got worse of late. Unsure if it is mobile 4G related or not. Darned nuisance though. Modern freeview boxes seem less capable of using weaker signals than the earlier ones were.

Thanks Old- Geezer for you reply. I only just saw it. What should I do now, do I need to contact
some TV guy who knows what to do? TV has beenOK today, but this lack of signal, happens quite often.
