Hello! I'm having a slight problem with my phone at the moment. It's a Samsung E600, it's about a year old, I bought it second-hand on ebay. I used to be able to store a lot of messages, I'm sure at some point I had about 50 on the memory. It doesn't store the sent messages, so it's not that that is filling the memory up. Recently, every time I receive a new text, it's started deleting the previous one automatically. It doesn't just start deleting when it reaches a certain number, as I have tried deleting some, but it still does it. I have now 21 texts stored, but it still deletes the previous one. that means I can't receive more than one at a time, and have to read it straight away or it will delete it if I receive another one. Any idea what's causing this ? I have nothing else using up the memory in the phone, no pics, and my phone book isn't very big. Can anyone help?

I'm sure a Samsung of mine had a setting where you could set it to delete messages a certain number of days old, automatically.

Check the manual.
this sounds like the phone is automatically set to delete after using a certain amount of memory. you need to change the setting.

Hi! Thank you for your replies. Thing is, I haven't changed any setting on the phone, and I've looked through the manual : there isn't a setting that alows you to delete messages automatically when you receive a new one. And it happens even if I delete a few so that I only have a couple left, still deletes the previous one, even if it was only received a few minutes before. I really don't have a clue what's happening. Maybe it's a network thing ? It's very annoying ! any other idea ?
