.... It's off to work they go, had a builders lorry turn up just after 15:00 with the Rooflights and all the materials they need to build the Dormer starting tomorrow, all offloaded in to the garage now, they reckon they'll be done by the end of the week,
Sounds promising, looking forward to seeing finished job.
When I was a teen we had a dog who just had to help workmen visiting the house. My mum would tell them to ignore him.
Two chaps came to do some work in a cellar area. They were confident that a big hound wouldn't be able to get down the ladder. He did and the three of them got stuck. Mum heard the cries for help and coaxed the hound up the stairs of the ladder.
He was a good natured dog - Bullmastiff daddy and GSD mum.
They're the same guys we used when we gutted the place before moving in, and they look after our Rentals, if they don't finish by Friday there's always next week, there's no rush.
(Don't tell 'em I said that ;o)
We are overdue to have our roof fixed. I am on the top floor and I have a leak or two. It has taken three years to get to this stage - that the work is to be done in the near future.
It is only a small block of flats - four flats and two businesses on the ground floor. It should have been simple but it has proven otherwise.
They turned up on time, apart from one short break they've been working away steadily, doing the dormer first as the sun's shining so we've got one big hole in the roof atm.
Had another productive morning, they're doing ok so far.
Mrs B left for Norwich about 10:30, says to give her a call when the Seven (3) Dwarfs have finished tap tap tapping all day.
I seriously hope the Job doesn't overrun, well not by too much anyway or she could be missing for a while;o)
So far, so good, all the roof lights are done, the dormer is well underway, got the final window size yesterday, local window company say they can fit it Saturday morning, so fingers crossed.
